The principle of edge-glued wood mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material selection: First, choose suitable wood as raw material. Commonly used woods include mountain camphor, eucalyptus, poplar, eucalyptus, etc. Plywood made of different woods will have different performances.
Veneer preparation: The selected wood is made into veneers by rotary cutting or slicing. The fiber directions of these veneers are perpendicular to each other in adjacent layers to ensure the stability and strength of the plywood.
Gluing: The veneers are coated with adhesive, usually using a professional gluing machine.
Lamination and pressing: The veneers coated with glue are staggered and stacked according to the grain direction to form a slab. Then put it into a hot press machine and press it under high temperature and high pressure to fully cure the adhesive to form plywood.
Cutting and forming: After pressing, cut into boards of specific sizes and shapes as needed.
